I used to play sax in elementary school.
Then puberty hit and I realized I liked girls. I didn't play sax after that.

My friend booked him a couple of times at a club he used to work at in Oregon. Says he's pretty personable and nice to his fans.
It's an odd situation because he's most famous for being a bizarre greaseball playing a cover of an obscure song by The Call, in a kinda gay '80s movie. Yet, he toured and recorded with Tina Turner at what was probably the height of her career. The irony isn't lost on him, but he's happy people still want to see him play. He'd like to be known as a serious musician, but if people just want to see him because of The Lost Boys, he's still psyched to play for them. |
