The 686 and 36 are "no-dashes", the 66 is a dash 2, and the M&P 340 has a 9mm conversion cylinder. |

I don't know, either, but I assume it's an access hole for roll pin installation at the factory. |

View Quote I think thats the access point to lube the locking bolt assembly and/or to insert a thin tool to relive the spring pressure from the bolt pin, never dealt with removing one personally.
