Hey guys I've got this old 10 22 been sitting around for years. I know there's a world of stuff out there for these.
Post up some pics of your tricked out Rugers, or chicks on bicycles or shitpost. IDGAF

Have you  heard of the fine wares available from the Tapco corporation?

I've got 3 of them.  2 are bone stock, one with a 20" barrel, one with an 18" barrel and the lasermax laser.

The other one has been upgraded with a Hornet trigger, green mountain 20" barrel, recoil buffer, and a weaver scope base (used to have a dovetail base).

I'm sure I have pics somewhere, maybe.

I don't have pics, (but I did post them here about8.5 years ago) but I had one laying around that I never shot and my kid was graduating from USMC training.
He gave me his EGA and told me he could have never done it without me and it was mine.

Couldn't just put it in a box somewhere so I embedded it in a nice composite green Boyd's stock, swapped the barrel for a fluted lightweight Tacsol. oversized charging handle, Painted a nice scope for it, added a custom sling and the mag release was tapped and a little metal skull was added. It looks like a badass little scout sniper rifle.

I then gave it back to him.

So much fun building those out. Luckily, I have some self control.

There are some good guides on the internet for how to smooth out the action and make it more reliable.
Easy stuff with minimal tools.
Mine now torques more than it kicks. Kinda weird.

Yeah I get it for sure. When My kid was growing up a bought a MK2 target and she shot she shit out of it. Then she went off to the Navy. Then got out. She came over a few weeks back and asked about it. I had slicked up the action and the trigger.. She left with it But My old man came thru with a MK3 stainless he wasn't using. So the cycle continues

Do the action job including the boat tail bolt and the jb weld trigger use the spare jb weld to glue some 45 brass over the charging handle... then hog out the stock and put one of the lightweight target barrels on it...

Then keep that one for squirrel sniping and buy a complete Kidd rifle with a bipod...

Then buy everyone you ever see for sale at a deal for the rest of your life

I went nuts with the stupid things this year building from parts, then because I had leftover parts I needed to build another, then I wanted to try something else...

Five chargers and one rifle. Three of them take downs. Two chassis builds. Kidd barrel, volquartsen barrel, kid receivers and bolt, a couple are scoped, various red dots on the rest, have a binary on order for one of them...

Shot out to 150 easy enough that I’m going to try to work up to 300. Those long range builds are the ones I’m really enjoying a lot right now

I just have these two,   a mostly stock factory target with a Vari-X 2 4x12 50mm and a stock takedown with a cheap reflex on it.

Brownells Receiver with mostly Volquartzen parts. DA Mask lives on the front of it now. It is a tack driver but won't work with 25 round mags for shit. 10 rounders work flawlessly.

All you need is a few 25 round mags, an autoloader, and plenty of ammo.

It's a old 80s era Federal Ordnance 10-22 stock I found on eBay. Someone had cut the end for the band off and hogged it out for a .920 barrel. They did a good job but left the end bare so I fashioned a end-cap for it. They are easily the best underfolder ever made. The made them for the 10-22, Mini-14, and M1 Carbine.

The down side of the F.O. folders is that you can't use a BX15 or 25 with it and get the stock to fold without removing them, thus the two 10-rounders back to back.

Here's another under-folder I cobbled together that does allow BX-25 use.

I kept my 10/22 simple
- Sanded and stained the stock
- added a KIDD flat trigger with overtravel and reworked the trigger a bit
- Added a rubber recoil pad so it's not to slippery on the shoulder.
- Added a GI web sling
- Added and modified an oversized charging handle (Drilled it out to save some weight)
- Some Tech front and rear AR sights
- A Ramline ventilated handguard I had in the scrap pile.
- Ruger BX-15 Magazine

Poor mans M-1 carbine.

Mine with a kid barrel, magpul stock and Dead Air Mask suppressor.  Lazer accurate.  My 15 yo daughter asked if she could start competing after the first hour she spent with it.

25 yard target. Each hole is 10 rounds of cci standard velocity.
