Hows the cleaning process go on that? Looks fantastic.

Easy.  You pull the monocore out with a with a wrench and clean.  It threads in kinda like a shotgun choke.

I kept my 10/22 simple
- Sanded and stained the stock
- added a KIDD flat trigger with overtravel and reworked the trigger a bit
- Added a rubber recoil pad so it's not to slippery on the shoulder.
- Added a GI web sling
- Added and modified an oversized charging handle (Drilled it out to save some weight)
- Some Tech front and rear AR sights
- A Ramline ventilated handguard I had in the scrap pile.
- Ruger BX-15 Magazine

Great parts list....but no receiver?

All KIDD parts are top quality and every one will improve a 10/22.

The receiver though helps all of them to be their best. You will get a perfect barrel fit, the bolt will glide perfectly smooth, there will be zero trigger group play.

It’s a PITA to order thru an FFL but in my experience it is well worth it. Plus, you can tell people you have a KIDD Classic....if you ever decide to sell it you will get way more attention than a Ruger receivered build.

The trigger is garbage, a lawyer-trigger by any definition.  It’s a heavy, creepy trigger and the only way to release the bolt is to nude that tiny little lever.

There’s lots of stuff you CAN do to a 10/22.  The one thing you SHOULD do is get a trigger job.

Yup. Never actially owned one until about three years ago.

Only mod I've done was to replace the original plastic stock with a light, but strong Druganov style stock. Went that route for the pistol grip and length of pull. The thing eats everything well from standard velocity up to stingers.

When a $200 rimfire rifle and a $400 Airsoft M249 mate? I'm not sure how I feel about that.

@Sherminator Any complaints at all with the stock? That's the same one I'm planning to get next for one of my 10/22s. Looks good BTW.

No complaints with the stock, I've been very happy with it. The entire setup is great, the thing shoots tiny groups with CCI SV and even better with match ammo like Tenex @TREETOP

The Nikon scope will be replaced with a Leupold rimfire optic.

I added a Magpul QD sling mount and picatinny rail underneath.
