No, we don't hate Ruger at all.
They make a HUGE variety of good-to-great firearms at attractive prices right here in the U.S. Classic blued steel and walnut? They got that. Modern rifles and pistols with threaded barrels, high-caps, and factory suppressors? Yup. Iconic and unique offerings like the #1, Scout Rifle, Precision Rifle, and Charger? Oh yeah. I (think) i only have one Ruger right now in the safes, but damn sure no hate for them.

I bought one a year ago or so for $399. It has to be one of the most well built vanilla ARs I’ve run across. Very nice, and fantastic price.

My first AR was a Ruger 5.56 and I love it. Shoots great out of the box and for that price get 2. I paid like 800 for mine a week after Pulse.

I still can’t figure out why they took the trouble to design a proprietary FSB with a bayonet lug only to put them on 16” carbines.

Friend of mine bought one for his 1st (and probably only) AR. Always told me the Mini-14 was better (doesn't have one, never shot one as far as I know), but then again he's a Ruger fanboy. He told me the AR-556 is better than any other AR brand because the delta ring UNSCREWS. I'm just like
 . Other than one rifle, every gun he has is a Ruger.Only Rugers I have are a 10/22 and LCP. Had a P89 (and I wish I never sold it). |
