Don't know how effective it is, but it sure looks like a crapton of pain over a very, very large area.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsCbG0t1Ds8&feature=youtu.be

As a note, this is the current generation of Russian MLRS, and has a range of nearly FIFTY miles.

646 bomblets per missile X 24 missiles fired by two batteries = 15,504 total bomblets on target, each with a kill range of 10m and penetrates 120mm of armor.

That seems to be a little close for comfort for that camera guy.

That looked ..... Effective. Probably a lot cheaper than an F-16 with a CBU munition too.

The silence of the cameraman spoke volumes, considering how generally overused the snackbar is. He was dumbstruck. Good.

It shows they don't have anything that equates to a hushed "Jesus H. Christ" or "Lookit that shit" in their garbage sounding language.

I wonder how many enemy were in that area? It seems like a lot of firepower to take out a dozen guys.

12 300mm rockets (BM-30 Smerch)
12 227mm rockets (M270 MLRS)

If the Russians can make em accurate, they could seriously put the hurt on someone. ESPECIALLY when you consider max range is nearly TWICE of ours.

This is a BM-30 Smerch, not the TOS-1 Burantino. The TOS-1 uses thermobarics and this is not thermobarics, if it was it'd look like a nuke.
