I was on jury duty recently...

Half of those folks, more women than men, had near zero ability to focus on simple points of law, ---like "what ONE specific point of the presented evidence do you offer to support your assertion the Defendant is guilty."

They couldn't focus on an issue for more than 20 seconds in multiple instances. And these were trained medical professionals, or degreed folks.

Most everything to them was Feelz's.

Very frustrating and eye opening.

I believe that the political campaigns are 501(c)3 orgs and therefore tax exempt.  So, if one candidate fails to win, but they have a war chest, they can keep it in their 501(c)3 for “next time” or they can transfer it to another politician’s 501(c)3.

Or they can spend it with friendly advertisers for a large kickback.

Most of the time candidates drop out they cite running out of money as one of the reasons.

Translation, they had family and friends set up as "advertisers" and "consultants" and drained the remaining campaign funds into those entities before calling it quits.

It’s unclear, but I read through the white paper for some background.  It’s very much a work in progress and the foundation to support it incorporated in Australia, a country doing its best to usher in an Orwellian future (At various times I have lived worked and attended school there going back 30+ years so I have a pretty good basis for that opinion).

I’m not an early adopter and I wouldn’t take any bets on it’s longevity.  The paper touches on a lot of different technologies being used and there’s a number of assumptions that I imagine will not hold up to scrutiny in the fullness of time.

Kind of funny that a key protocol they developed for this has the acronym LLARP - tossing the haters a life preserver!

Not surprised in the slightest. Several pages ago I commented on how the Secret Service must have their hands full and they are unsung hero’s. Keeping the worlds most powerful man safe while staying in the shadows. That’s got to be one very tough but rewarding job.
