The FBI says it has busted one of the largest fraud and money laundering cases in U.S. history.
Eighty people are accused of stealing millions of dollars from businesses and unsuspecting individuals. Thursday, investigators unsealed the indictment after a nearly three-year-long investigation into thefts totaling $10 million. In some cases, the suspects are accused of orchestrating romance schemes and convincing them to send money. The victims in one case thought they were communicating with U.S. servicemen stationed overseas, when in fact they were emailing with con men. Investigators say the scammers also targeted businesses. Many of the suspects are Nigerian nationals and could face extradition. Despite the arrests, it's unlikely the suspects will get their money back. |

Andrea Zamperoni, chef at renowned New York restaurant, found dead Chef Andrea Zamperoni, who was reported missing on Monday, has been found dead, the New York Police Department said Thursday.
In a statement, the NYPD said the 33-year-old's body was discovered in a building in Queens and that the cause of death remains under investigation. Zamperoni was head chef at Cipriani Dolci, a renowned Venetian restaurant inside New York City's Grand Central Terminal. |

Feds intercept nearly 53,000 illegal Chinese gun parts in Los Angeles U.S. officials have intercepted and seized almost 53,000 illegal Chinese gun parts in three separate shipments at the port of Los Angeles/Long Beach.
The seized items included gun sights, stocks, muzzles and other parts worth a total of more than $378,000. The parts were intercepted in recent weeks, according to law enforcement sources familiar with the matter, and were packed in their own cargo containers on three separate ships that were also carrying household items, apparel, toys, industrial machinery and other imports. Customs and Border Protection officers seized the shipments and consulted ATF agents, who confirmed that the firearm parts violated an embargo against Chinese weapons. I was wondering about the Greenland thing. It seemed to be kinda out of the blue and certainly not forecast by Q.

The whole country is in a pandemic of child abuse, and there is no doubt in my mind that their government damn well knows it. Hence, the exchange of views between Trump and their Prime Minister. Given this slant, it may be easier to read their exchange of views in a different light. It certainly fits in with Trump's animosity toward pedophiles. Well enough we all should, but I now have a concern this was prompted by something much closer to him and that it may have involved family. |

I keep telling you that if the parts are not marked Made in the USA then they aren't made in the USA. And that over half the AR parts market, per the Brownells catalog I had at one time, were not made in the USA. Brownell's has been our friends in pointing this out long before now. They aren't all Chinese, but consider that any nation who bought a plant to make M16's in their country has the ability to make parts and ship them here. I won't be too surprised to find I have a trigger from Taiwan or a bolt carrier from Korea. And you shouldn't be either. |

Here's an update screenshot of the 08chan ZeroNet board; I'm sure it was mentioned elsewhere, but it sounds like 8ch plans to be online after the hearing on September 5. As a reminder, unless you have good experience with VM/VPN setups, don't use ZeroNet, period.
I might periodically check in to see what's going on, but I doubt Q would post here as it's got some security problems inherent to P2P design. Plus, no need to expose myself too much. Edit: Why won't my image show up inline like normal? Bugger.
