even more!
Yea, yea, I know... Flamesuit on. Attached File Attached File Being a loyal fanboi of Kia, (3 Sportages in driveway now), 2 before these, and 3 Hyundai's prior I always wanted a "ute". Seems perfect for my needs. Reminds me of the Subaru "Brat" of days gone by. Want to drive one, and would love to see the Kia version. @LittlePony Will probably wait a year for the "shakedown reports". Might have to stop at the local dealer for a look see/test drive... Wonder if there is a "market adjustment"? |

TFL has been doing Santa Cruz vs Maverick vs Ridgeline for months now
The Santa Cruz would be a good vehicle for urban folks who occasionally want a bed to haul small loads. Not everyone needs a full-size pickup.
I wanted to like them, but they're expensive with no cheap option. I'm gonna wind up with a Maverick.
Seen a couple of them while driving. They have my attention for when we replace our other car.
These were recommended to me for cross shopping while looking at the Maverick for an employee beater trucks, have one on order, and plan to order 2 more this month or next...of the Maverick. The price, option to option, was about 30% more for the Hyundai and everything else is very close.
30% more for the same thing. Crazy. |
It's like a Honda Ridgeline that might set your garage on fire. Neat, I suppose.
The led lights in front at night look like sores left after a herpetic cock was rubbed all over it.

I've only seen two so far. Interesting idea, and yeah, for a lot of people, they'll be a better idea and more useful than a full size truck. For what I do, I could get by with one. I think the bed is long enough to fit my paramotor laying flat in it, like I do in my Ridgeline. Though I like the much larger trunk in the RL.
But if you're more concerned about image, and what other men think about you based on what you drive... avoid it. |

I have seen a couple of them around, not very good looking and I have no need for one.
If it fit's your needs, more power to you. Personally I'd let them be on the market for a couple years first. |

I delivered one of those to the Hyundai dealer in College Station last week.
I asked if they were popular and the guy told me they'd put it on the display turntable and an A&M girl would buy it. And lesbians. They are pretty "meh". A small car or SUV interior and a tiny bed. The door sounded horrible when it closed. Like closing my clothes dryer door. Then again: Attached File The highest payload sticker I've seen on a new 2022 Tundra was 1,550 lbs and the majority are in the 1,300 lb range so go figure. |

Tell your husband you'll do anything to get one!
Kidding. Mostly. Life is short. Get what you want. |
