It's questionable behavior, but I don't see any wrongdoing here.

Stupid, but as long as no minors saw her do it then I don't see making a big deal out of it. Why is this video even public? Did she send it to the wrong person by accident?

It was a locked staff bathroom, and there's no mention of anyone else inside. She only sent it to her husband, apparently. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office was investigating a personal incident between the SRO and her husband when they came across the cell phone video made in the school bathroom at Imagine Kissimmee Charter Academy in December of 2018, WFTV reported.
The video showed the SRO standing stark naked inside the locked staff bathroom. |

I might just find myself... nonplussed... at such a sight. "The video came to light after the sheriff's office were investigating a personal incident with the SRO and her spouse." I'm guessing her husband ratted her out. I know a guy who got shit canned because he linked his personal iCloud account to his department issued cell phone. GF had sent him nude pics, he pulled up his account to show someone some pics and they saw the nude pics. Fired. I think he is suing. |

The incident didn't involve minors, not only involved adults but specifically married adults, and was kept private until some investigation unearthed a privately sent video between that married couple. Should have remained a non issue that never saw the light of day.
I could see the department giving her a warning to avoid using the phone for such things, but that's about all that I can justify when I think on this. It's making a mountain out of a mole hill. As I said before, she was stupid but overall this should have been a non-issue. |

I've had an issued cell phone and computer in various positions for 25 years.
Never ever view, input, enter, or even think too loudly about ANYTHING that is against policy AND common sense on an issued device! |

Again how do these naked pics come about? How does this get involved in a public investigation unless someone is grinding an axe.
And while I don't get completely naked in the bathroom at work, I've had times where it was a race to the throne and 90 seconds wasn't gonna get it done. But if that's your argument, you need to pony up for a 2nd officer. |

I'd like to know what the incident was... Local PDs / agencies just dip into the Feds resources and get subpoenas of phones for their 'investigation'. (Generally text messages) When they turn up nothing in the true invest, but find other information... they'll use it to jam them up. Case in point, Edison Police (NJ) and either San Fran or San Diego. Cops were cleared for wrong doing in what they were going after them for, but they found other personal stuff they administratively hung them out to dry on. |

This is part of the problem with employer provided cell phones. On the one hand, it's more convenient using and carrying around a single cell phone and as a result the work phone often becomes the personal phone as well.
