To me the B17G is the most beautiful aircraft ever made.
A few years ago I had the opportunity to fly in the collings foundation's B17 the "909".
It was violently expensive, $400 which is well worth a once in a lifetime experience. $400 isnt really bad, the trouble came when my kids wanted to come along.
Grandpa severed in WW2 and my kids get the importance of that. What could I say, No?
So I din't eat for week, big deal. I'm fat anyway and got to fly in a B17. Who needs food when you can fly.
