Quoted: Quoted: Looks like a scoped SKS with a 30 round mag Looks like a saiga sporter to me. I agree, because the trigger appears to be far back from the magwell.....but damn what a shitty pic it is! |

Quoted: They said in the presser that it had a scope (scoped AK like rifle). View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: It’s such a blurry pic, but does that actually have a scope on it? And I’ve never really tested 7.62x39 for accuracy, but how accurate are they? Do they have the potential of being sub-MOA like a good AR with FGMM/Black Hills/handloads etc.? They said in the presser that it had a scope (scoped AK like rifle). Thanks. That’s a little more worrisome. I guess it comes down to #2 of how accurate one of these rifles can be, not counting whether the scope is properly zeroed, and if the nut has any real experience with precision shooting at longer ranges (longer being anything past 100yds). |

Probably would have jammed, those mags are shit and never work right. As far as accuracy I can and have put rounds on steel @300yds with irons, both SKS and AKM. It wouldn't be my choice but it could work if practiced. |

How did the shooter know which hole Trump was at at that window of opportunity?
How did he know Trump would be there play golf. An AK47 doesn’t fit in a back pack, where was the SS and how they miss a gun with a long rifle again. The inescapable conclusion is that this was an inside job by the USSS. |

Do you think it’s like, bathroom tiles and he was a moron that heard about ceramic armor and thought he could fill tote bags with a box of Home Depot’s finest? Why, with less than 60 days until election day, is Trump spending any weekend golfing?
Every waking hour should be booked up with events. |

I'm certainly glad that the moran doesn't know how to shoot. Getting further back, not sticking the barrel through the fence and not hanging a lot of shit on the fence, and things might have been different.

Quoted: They make plates for plate carriers out of ceramic. They're lighter weight and they float. How is that not known on an AR board View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: That pic isn’t backpacks. He was shielding himself with bullet proof plates or tiles in those. I had read “ceramic tiles” on X earlier. Do you think it’s like, bathroom tiles and he was a moron that heard about ceramic armor and thought he could fill tote bags with a box of Home Depot’s finest? Pretty sure Mythbusters did a show testing “What is bulletproof/bullet resistant?”, and Jamie (?) used common ceramic tiles to make something that DID stop bullets. They make plates for plate carriers out of ceramic. They're lighter weight and they float. How is that not known on an AR board The ones that float are usually ‘plastic’ (UHMWPE Ultra High Molecular Weight PolyEthylene). But the discussion was regarding the backpack with ceramic tiles in it. They didn’t say bulletproof plates/ceramic armor. Someone wondered if the nut read about bulletproof ‘ceramic plates’, and mistakenly thought they could just buy ceramic tiles from a home improvement store. My post was that Mythbusters actually tested making homemade bullet resistant materials, and one of the things they tested WAS homemade armor using ceramic tiles from a home improvement store, and it did in fact stop some bullets. Pretty sure that was the same episode they finished up by armoring a car with phone books that stopped at least the first few rifle rounds (can’t recall if it stopped the first .50BMG rounds). |
