my interpretation is 1/2" at 100

there was never any mention of time frame which you ASSumed

Old muzzleloading arms are fantastically accurate if treated correctly. Harry Pope was building some stuff pre-1900 that was staggeringly accurate.

Depends how close you are to the light.  And how big the bulb is.

Shotgun would work at 30 feet.

338 Lapua would work at 950y.

105mm Howitzer would work at 7mi.
