We ended up getting a fake "Christmas" Tree for about a C-note.

Didn't think everyone would be so up and arms about "Holiday Tree".  There are more holidays this time of year than just Christmas.

True -
But the "tree" is a Christmas Tree, not "any of the other holidays tree"...

Ditto,  I have a six foot aluminum tree and a color wheel that takes half an hour to put up and half an hour to take down.  It reminds me of my childhood in the old house.

Just slide the "limbs" back into the sleeves and put them in the box and you are GTG until next year!

We went fake about 10 years ago.  It's a lot easier.  Does it look as nice?  No, or at least i don't think so.  A real tree looks like... well.... a real tree.  It also smells like a real tree.

That said, setup, maintenance and cleanup are MUCH easier with the fake tree.  No watering, no chemicals, no shedding needles.   Costs less over time as well, especially if you buy when they're on sale.

I won't ever knock someone for wanting the real thing, it's what i grew up with, i have fond memories of getting the tree and setting up and the smell.  But, i prefer fake at this point.

I hate artificial Christmas trees... but that's what we have.  Not worth the fire risk.
