This giant sling from surgery is hot and a pain to get on and off.

keep the sling they gave you if its one with a pillow your arm rests on. My doc said the pillow puts your arm in a position to relieve stress on the rotator cuff repair, you risk detachment without it.

on a side note, I found that using anti-monkeybutt powder in that armpit worked wonders as far as keep me "not sticky" and about as comfortable as I could get.

eta: be extremely careful, if you fuck up that repair they'll have to go back in there and fix it.
