https://youtu.be/1MsRNauv7rM Really good idea what the bomber formations were up against. Apparently Flak was the thing that did least damage, but scared the shit out of the aircrews because of its unpredictable nature. |

In Martin Caiden's book on the B-17, Flying Forts, he stated the average cost of B-17 was about $225,000 each in 1942 dollars.
That's about $14,000,000 in todays money. |
