Ruger Speed Six stainless 2&3/4" barrel in .357 magnum. Bobbed the hammer (for pocket carry) the day I got it.
Carried in a pants pocket as I walked back and forth to the office (just lived a couple blocks away). Carried it in my right hand duty coat pocket in the winter as a back up with two speed loaders in the left hand pocket for three or four years. Carried it in the zipper pocket on the chest of my fishing bib overalls during that time. Sometimes it was underwater while wading/fishing. Carried it in my right hip pocket while groundhog hunting (killed two copperheads with it while loaded with snake shot). Carried it in a pocket while riding 3 wheelers for years. Carried it on one training trip out of state when we weren't supposed to be carrying (after you've carried for years not carrying it pretty uncomfortable.) Carried it a few times while kayak fishing.
When I'd come home from fishing I'd always detail strip it (easy with a Ruger Speed Six), put the parts (except the grips) on a cookie sheet and put them in the oven at 200 F while I cleaned fish and/or took a shower. I'd turn the oven off, let the parts cool down, put some oil on them and reassemble/load it and put it in my pocket for the walk to work.
The ammo in the speed loaders in over 35 years old (as is the ammo in the gun) in that picture. We took it to the range and both me and my wife shot it. Once cylinder each, nice big fireballs/concussion/recoil from those old 125 grain hollow point .357's. Decent groups, too, for something I hadn't shot in years.
