Thinking of lighting it up and cooking it and then eat it. Does it need to be skinned before I cook it?

I’d cook him up a little but I’d add crushed up lays potato chips. On my grand daddies ranch growing up when we visited, if one was caught...We’d skin it, and fry it along with lays chips for seasoning.

Fried or grilled snake is some good eats!

Skin, clean, season and cook using your preferred method.

It tastes like a cross between chicken and eel.

I have handled two snaked this week.

One in house in Virginia that just had contract work done. 4 feet + long (know because the bathroom tile pattern is 12" x 12")

and the other at work because he was hanging around the entrance freaking out the employees leaving for the day. Both were Black Rat snakes and I made damn sure to identify them.

The easiest way to deal with a non venomous snake it to tail them. Once you pick up your first snake it gets easier every time.

Rat snakes are about the most chill snakes you can deal with.

Cat people are worse. Outdoor cats killing songbirds, owner refuses to confine because "cats need to roam". Indoor cats scratching around in their own shit and then hopping up on the counter where food is prepared, to get their head scratched-and it's cute.

Such a beautiful animal.

Do some work... Shoot a Coyote.. or a pig.

Eat that, and do some good for the world..

Personally I would probably try to kill it, gut and skin it before cooking it.

But, I'd I'm pretty sure since I have never had snake, I'd eat it.

Ask yourself if you would like to be burned alive at the whim of someone stronger than you.

Then ask yourself if the bad karma is worth harming an innocent animal out of sheer spite.

Had a nest of rats in mine, turned the gas on high and lit; opened the lid after about ten minutes and had flaming/smoking rats unassing that fucker, was like a horror movie.

LOL yeah somebody's missing that.  They're not exactly cheap.

Wish I were closer, it would go into a quarantine enclosure.  Nice find!
