A good friend of mine is a BAMF and he drives a 4-door Hyundai.
He gets hotties up the ass and he has nothing to prove to anyone. It's not the vehicle surrounding the man, it's the man behind the wheel. |

Any pick-up truck qualifies.

Just buried a MACV-SOG Vietnam vet. Guy drove a minivan and his DD214 had more damn awards and commendations than I've ever seen.

A vehicle doesn’t make the man, but some vehicles certainly don’t scream masculinity. Probably more about don’t than do.
I really don’t care too much about what people think of my vehicles. I bought them because they were cool to me then modified them to suit my wants. Most people don’t care anyway. |

[GD] If you commute to your office job in anything less than a 5 ton dump truck pulling an empty triple axle flatbed, you are a godless, commie Soyboy. [/GD]

Probably being too serious in this parody thread but the "manly" thing to do is get the vehicle that does the task at hand the best. For example, if your vehicular needs are a 70 mile-a-day commute, don't buy a Suburban (which is the most ironic car name ever, BTW). View Quote I’ve alwasy focused on cars that get the job done. Long commute days had me in a vw tdi. Construction days had me in a Chevy pickup or a 4 runner. These days I like to get places fast while having fun so, 911 fits the bill. |

It's also amusing that the sort of people taking this line of discussion seriously don't include much of anything that gets more than 20 MPG or anything that seats more than two people.

In GD fashion. Why would I go to a dealership & buy an automobile, when I can build a better one at home?

I know a SEAL Commander that is found of his minivan.
But once upon a time we were in a 1 ton 4x4 suburban helping stranded people during a snow storm and he remarked that it’d be the best to have as a bug out vehicle. I now have a Jeep and a 3/4 ton suburban 4x4, but would be the same guy in a minivan. |

View Quote ETA: My dad drives a Ford Fiesta, he recently retired his last FWD minivan at 400k. He is retired Army, Green Beret then Pilot. He is also retired from the state, 10 years as a prison guard (a state prison, not a county lock up), then 10 years as a Drill Instructor at a youth challenge academy. It wasn't the car he drove that made him a bad ass. |
