For one she isn't fat, that alone makes here in the top 10-20% of women in America
She has good music and is a good singer. She rewards and takes care of her employees. She is successful in selling her brand and marketing to her audience. Her audience isn't really balding older men who like guns. |

Her early songs were absolutely original and great lyrics and music.
She backed that up with a huge catalog of forgettable stuff but managed 1-2 hooks per album. Seventeen years later she has a big enough hits catalog to fill a 2-3 hour show and knows enough to invest millions in production to get billions back. She is the new Garth Brooks. She manufactured and marketed herself into a star and is now reaping the rewards. |

I teach HS juniors and seniors all day. They all love her. Even the goth kids, etc. all love her. We got to the balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet today (ACT 2, scene 1). OMFG. For those not in the know, it's the part of the play that is the song "Love Story." Complete freakout.
