Simple Man by Shinedown played

And boy did I have to fight back the tears. Just feeling like your trying to carry the world on your shoulders and/or that you feel like you didn't meet all of your parents expectations. And in the Song the he sings about his mother telling him she just wants him to have a good life, none of that other stuff matters.

The rumor mill is that Taylor wrote this song for a miscarriage she had.

Taylor Swift - Bigger Than The Whole Sky (Lyric Video)

She also played this song live the performance after one of her fans died because of the shitty concert conditions (heat/no access to drinking water) in
Rio and she had never played this song live before.

Alice In Chains - Nutshell (Official Audio)

We chase misprinted lies
We face the path of time
And yet I fight, and yet I fight
This battle all alone
No one to cry to
No place to call home
Ooh
Ooh-ooh
Ooh
Ooh-ooh
My gift of self is raped
My privacy is raked
And yet I find, and yet I find
Repeating in my head
If I can't be my own
I'd feel better dead
Ooh
Ooh-ooh
Ooh
Ooh-ooh

Any time I hear Simple Man I have to fight back tears. I love my mom so much, miss her so much too. She's been gone for 2 years now. Tomorrow would have been her 67th birthday.

This song gets me. Especially the line "I have been guilty of kicking myself in the teeth."

OP, Smith has a great voice and the band did a great job with that song. Very respectful to Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The same band, Shinedown, Through the ghost. First time I heard that song it hit me hard. Reminded me of a girl I knew when I was young. Now she's gone, bad circumstances.

Just mentioned this song to my wife today. We were in Market Basket (Grocery Store) and it played in the store. Every aisle we walked down people were silently singing along with the song. Such a great song.
