I had Chevelle SSs from 69, 70 and 72 and one like this from 73.

The 73 I still miss and if I could find the right one I’d be all over it. Attachment Attached File

I'd love to drive something like this through South Beach. I'd catch the eye of a lot of rich people.

Side note - I lived in a suburb that was known as a cake eater city. The Pizza Hut guy drove a Porche. It was one of those crummy 941s from the 90s that didn't look too good but it was kind of funny to see it pull up with the Pizza Hut sign on the roof.

Nice!  I had the cleanest '87 T-type back in college, gray with black trim.  It had zero panty pull, but I loved it.

We used to see a GNX driving around fairly regularly when we moved to this neighborhood years ago ...  Haven't seen it in a long time though.

For those who don't know, the car is called a Jensen Interceptor. Not only does it look fantastic, but it had Chrysler V8s under the hood (360s, 383s, or 440s depending upon the year).

I had a 73 Buick Regal.  The big problem is the rear window surrounds rotted out in less than 10 years as well as the trunks and lower quarter panels.  And that's in the south without salt to deal with.  Lately I'm seeing hoodrats driving a lot of these 70's cars and am clueless where they are finding them, much less fixing all the rusted out panels.

I saw that one go for something like $3k at a Hollywood auction, circa 1983 or so.
I was thinking what a bargain it was, until a friend pointed out it was probably in terrible shape at the end of the movie.

Toyota has sold about 3k land cruisers a year in the US, hence the discontinuation. It’s not exactly a Camry.

68/69 Torino Cobra Jet but engine swapped for either 400+ cuin SBF or a 5.2 Aluminator.

Same suspension type and brakes as my 66 Mustang.

Something similar to this but geared towards actual use on a road course with 315/35-17 tires on all 4 corners.

Last ten or twelve years I have wanted a Audi URS4/6. One of the turbo 5 cylinder cars. I have a friend that needs some cash and  has a real nice 96 URS6. I am a weakweak man. The AAN 5 cylinder sounds fucking amazing!! We will see... The prices the last few years have started to climb, perhaps it's time before they get completely out of control.

Dude - whose fantasy is this

The trick in owning - but more importantly being able to operate -  obscure rides is finding ones that have reasonable support.

At this stage in my life that means mfg support, at least in some market(s) - and modern conveniences. FFS digging through swap meets and tracking down weird dudes with a few containers of arcane NOS shit they mistake for religion sucks donkey balls. Nah man, done with that. This ain't speculation.

So I'll stick with a KDJ-120, short roof, KDSS, factory rear locker - plenty obscure for NA. If you twisted my arm a KZJ-120.

I'd consider a Pajero Evo - and now might just bite (exemption!).
