Riker was playing a bad guy in season two and never took Off his isotoner gloves. |

Quoted: That’s my main gripe. They should’ve put the ‘D’ back into service as the All Good Things dreadnaught refit, had Admiral Riker command it for a season with Captain 7 of 9 and then phase Jonathan Frakes out. It would’ve made far more sense than the Titan-A getting rechristened. View Quote Attached File |

lol, poor Denise Crosby. She was a main cast member and people remember Dwight Schultz and John deLancie more than her.

Quoted: Pretty sure we would not have gotten the Awesomesauce that was DS9 had Roddenberry lived. His hippy dippy version of Star Trek, DS9 was not. View Quote I’m pretty sure Roddenberry had basically been pushed out the door sometime during or after season 2 of TNG. His health was not good, and he was becoming harder and harder to work with, objecting to more and more of what was being produced. I think they ultimately had to ban him from the set. I think he may have also been developing Alzheimer’s/dementia. |

That is one of the reasons why they wrecked it in ST: Generations. Now all televisions are 16:9, something the Enterprise-E was more designed for. It’s just a shame that sexy starships like the Enterprise-E and -F got so little screen time. |

Its been 36 years since the series hit the air. People age. Look up some convention footage of the cast in recent years and its obvious that they are aging. After years of seeming to be ageless, Stewart is downright decrepit looking and sounding these days

I don’t know if true or not. |

Quoted: Patrick Stewart was 47 when he started playing Picard. Feel old yet? View Quote yes, but that's mostly from beating myself up on cars for 20 years I'm assuming they made him look "older" for the part, but also there was a lot of emphasis on how much longer people will live, probably because you can just like, beam cancer into the mess hall. also when your 8 years old everyone older than you looks 80 |

View Quote Levar Burton is the one that gets me - he'll always be frozen in time in my mind as Kunte Kinte back in '77 ('78?). Who's the dude all the way on the right? ETA: I watched the Shatner interview program featuring the Captains of the various ST shows - it was actually pretty interesting to get the actor's take on their character relative to Star Trek as a whole, as well as what impact the role had on their lives during and after the show. The contrast between the actor's personality and the character they created was stark; Kate Mulgrew seems to have a blue sense of humor judging from the teasing she gave Shatner over screwing every young actress that would have him; and Stewart would be fun, unlike his stuffy alter-ego. |

I think he may have also been developing Alzheimer's/dementia. That's what I was getting at. Most of the non-TOS good trek was post Roddenberry, or had little input from Roddenberry. Season 1 and 2 or TNG are pretty bad. Some good episodes, but def the weaker seasons. |

They were already old when TNG first started.
That annoying fuck Wheaton and Ashley Judd were the only young ones. I met Ashley back then and she was really cute. |
