If they are copying the first trilogy as much as they seem to be, then they need a love triangle. They need the Han - Luke - Leia thing and they need it to be as fucked up as unintentional incest... I would laugh my ass off if all of this turns out to be Poe is gay and hitting on Finn, but Finn is straight and hitting on Rey, and Rey is asexual and hitting on droids... and then Rey hooks up with Kylo and they turn out to be brother and sister.

The single parent family was prevalent in the shows of the '50s - '60s. The Rifleman, Andy Griffith, My Three Sons, Bonanza are a few examples I recall. |

I think folks need to calm down and remember just how asexual Star Wars really is.
Across, what, eight movies now we've had all of two consummated relationships. One between an abusive asshole creeper and his childhood crush, and one between a smuggler who smells like wet dog and a princess with daddy AND brother issues. Both relationships ended in separation with confused custody issues. Quite frankly a pair of gay guys with no sordid pasts who actually stay together would be groundbreaking in the galaxy far, far agay... I mean, away. I can see the tagline now... the only skeletons in their closets are their own.
