That is a decent stout if not a tad too bitter on back end. I had a few cases of it in the garage till it got skunky and I tossed it. After a beer festival I was working was over and the distributor didn't want to haul it all back he gave it to me along with a truckload of other beers to drag home. I was handing out cases of beer for a year, LOL.

Guinness
Black Butte Porter Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter Those are all in my regular rotation. I'm not a fan of the flavored porters and stouts that seem to be everywhere lately though. |

Loves me some porters!
I got some Kentucky Bourbon Barrel brand peppermint porter a couple weeks ago. It was way better than it sounds! When a friend of mine and I were homebrewing, vanilla porter was the bestest! |

Goose Island Bourbon County Stout - only released on Black Friday, I try to get at least 6 bottles so I can have one as a treat every so often. They are usually around 14-15% and I do so greatly enjoy them! This was the first time in about 10 years that I saw any of the "special" bottles. I was able to get a few of those and am looking forward to trying them!
KY Bourbon barrel ale is always a safe standby for me and most restaurants around me have it whereas they don't have many decent stouts (tons of IPA ) Rasputin, Black Butte are both also good. Against the Grain out of Louisville, KY has a couple good barrel aged stouts. Braxton Brewery (local to me) has a lot of stouts - but most of them are bitter to me and as much as I want to support a local brewery, they just don't click with my taste buds The oatmeal stouts are a nice change for me as well. It seems like there are a ton of local breweries now and I try to sample some whenever I can while traveling - seems like about a 50/50 shot of a good stout or it it bitter gross! |

I very rarely drink beer. I simply never liked it. I find IPA's undrinkable. Then I tried Guiness... I actually really liked it. I had some Yuengling Hersheys porter this year that surprised me how good it was. I need to try and find some of these and give them a try.

Quoted: I remember liking Yeti Imperial Stout but it's been over 10 years since I had one. Their website states it has a bold hops flavor which I definitely would not like so I'm not sure if they changed the recipe or if the malts were very strong as well. In any case, I would try it again but it looks like it just comes in cans now - bummer! http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-r0un9EJFXXs/TkGgJnm6YDI/AAAAAAAABJU/SZY1iSSV2fY/s1600/Great+Divide+Yeti+Imperial+Stout.JPG Any thoughts?
