honestly - no fucks given. For decades male swimmers would shave their chest, arms, and legs to be more hydrodynamic. Body suits have been banned since 2009.

I know we're all worried about the race card being thrown around but honestly this decision makes no sense.
It's not as though a swim cap is going to give one Olympic athlete an advantage over another one. And if it DOES, hell they all should be wearing them. This is really a story about stupid bureaucracy saying "NO" just because they have been given the power to do so. |

That itself is a lifestyle choice, just like choosing to smoke weed. As far as I'm aware I've never seen a medical condition that would prevent you from cutting your hair especially in healthy people. This is a company using a rejection they never were going to get approved for (40,000 caps over years? Really?) to make PR splash to get their product out there. |

For women?
Let them have caps. Basically all women are the same. For men? Do what I did and every other swimmer did for championships/area/all american. Shave your head... Caps are distracting and I hated the way they sounded in the water when they trapped air between my ear or encapsulated my ear. |
