I actually went and looked up the rule. I know logic doesn't matter when folks start screaming raaaaaaycism, but in case anyone wants to look at this logically, the screen below is of the actual FINA rule book.
4.3 is on caps. The rule clearly states the cap must follow the natural shape of the head. This is obviously done to avoid caps that are shaped to give an advantage. Notice they even say seams, if they exist cannot create any shapes. So what you're telling me is seams are racist too? They would need to rework the rule to allow for caps of greater volume, but also not designed to give an advantage. That would take time and isn't easy. Regardless, the end design would by definition be such that would result in more drag, thus making the athlete using it slower, and thus never used. This is all a non issue, but the internet and lefties are reeeeeeee anyways.

I don't see that giving a measurable advantage. Seems like BS. That said (a) I don't remember their ever being an African contender in swimming sports, I stand by for examples. That said (b) does anyone remember the "sharks suits) a few years back?

What is funny to me is that somehow the excuse is “natural black hairstyle”. It is as if European and Asian swimmers are from cultures where long hair has never existed and therefore they have never needed to alter their chosen style to conform or uh

Hair is hair. A black person's natural hair will fit in a regular cap. Even a huge afro can be pulled back into a pony tail.
If you are a competitive swimmer you probably shouldn't have dreads or a weave. I like the idea posted earlier. Ban ALL caps. If you want to reduce your drag, shave your head. |

Lawsuit, protests and Riots to follow. So sick of all this black people deserve this and that because of what none of them alive today went through. Slaves were sold by their Tribal Leaders to Americans. Was slavery right NO but again it's over and as stated nobody alive experienced it so why all the preferred treatment? Yes I know there are some other issues at hand just using that as a example. BLM founder buys multimillion dollar home in rich neighborhood to get her kids into better schools! ( Better schools as taxes are insane not because it was a predominantly white neighborhood ) How about putting that money into your neighborhood to make it better? Where is your money going when you donate to these organizations. Imagine for a second a white only channel WET, a white only college, grants given to white only people ( ALM protests as what happens to black people happens to all races, the news just doesn't stir it up like they do with black people ) Shit would hit the fan. You want race equality make everything equal why should white people be denied the same opportunity's as Black people? That breeds Racism in white people. We need to just forget the past as it cannot be changed and agree all equal opportunity to black or white. I had dirt poor, broken home friends that are now lawyers and engineers no special treatment just through hard work. Ok getting off topic RANT over LOL.
