One behind UGA. Its going to be ugly in two weeks. Georgia's only hope is in the defense keeping them in the game, which isn't likely considering how they consistently struggle with mobile QB's. They made Dobbs look like an All-SEC QB last week, and they'll make Treon Harris look like a Heisman front-runner in two weeks. Florida will stack the box, shut down the run, and force Lambert to throw. I predict at least one pick-6, and the game may be out of reach by halftime. Rivalry games are a different breed. Last year's Florida team was terrible, and still managed to shame UGA. I wouldn't be surprised if UGA does the same to UF this year. You appear to be unfamiliar with Richt's history against Florida...only once since Richt has been coach has Georgia beaten a higher ranked Florida team (and is 5-9 overall against the Gators). |

Richt has beaten a higher ranked Florida team only once out of 14 games, and is 5-9 against the Gators. It pains me to say this, but Florida wins this game by two scores...Georgia simply has nothing that outmatches anything the Gators are doing right now. Our only hope is Florida comes into the game and pulls a Georgia (similar to last year). |

No fair catch signalled, but the referees are idiots, so..... Punt was returned 70-ish yards to the one yard line before Switzer was forced out of bounds. Ref blows the play dead at the spot of the catch and flags Switzer for delay of game. Only problem is that Switzer never signaled for a fair catch, nor even make any motion that might suggest he did. On top of that, if the referee did believe he signaled for a fair catch, how do they not flag Wake for kick catch interference? Absolutely piss poor officiating, and further evidence of just how horrible are ACC officials.

He's second in career punt returns for TD in NCAA history, and he's gotten 2 or 3 of those returns by doing exactly what he did there. He almost took that one all the way, and it happens because the defense thinks there's no way he didn't call fair catch so they start pulling up early. There's zero excuse for the officials miss that AND not flag Wake for interference. Win or lose is irrelevant - it's just another example of how shitty is ACC officiating. It's become a joke. |

I think Bama's defense can handle Treon..........still a long way to go against some good teams, but maybe they can meet in the SECCG. I'd like to see Bama beat UF again

LSU vs UF
A mighty match up of mighty SEC powerhouses..... Some don't think Bama can hang with the gators...after all, they were just about all LSU could handle and still pull out a win.... UF put up 28 points but gave up 35. So close. Yeah, uh......Syracuse v LSU.....Syracuse put up 24 points but gave up 34. So the gators are marginally better than Syracuse....the new whipping boys of the ACC Congrats gators.....you're just about good enough to be an ACC whipping boy. Ridiculous how highly rated so many teams came out this year only to be exposed as mediocre. Some of these "highly rated" teams are still clinging to a shred of this illusion and remain in the top 25. Ole Miss is a joke as a top tier team this year and rightfully will be removed. Others are soon to follow hopefully if the committee is honest this year. |

No fair catch signalled, but the referees are idiots, so..... Punt was returned 70-ish yards to the one yard line before Switzer was forced out of bounds. Ref blows the play dead at the spot of the catch and flags Switzer for delay of game. Only problem is that Switzer never signaled for a fair catch, nor even make any motion that might suggest he did. I agree ACC refs are horrible, but the motion he made was above the waist and three.....three players from the other team all perceived it as such (as evidenced by their pulling up and throwing arms up) I don't think it was a bad call per se, but yes, if it was a fair catch then it should have been catch interference with the bump by the third player. It was an atrocious call. No ambiguity there. Correct, there is no ambiguity in the rule......however there is HUGE (Donald Trump voice  ) disparity in how that rule is enforced. Far too many kick returners (NCAA and NFL) get away with half ass signals.
If you want to correct the problem start flagging the returners with an improper signal (dead ball foul 5 yards from the spot I believe) |
