Name a player you think will impact the season. Not just one game, but someone who will be a crucial part of the team. Obviously doesn't have to be a heisman caliber player (as that is almost as much politics as it is talent). For FSU I think it will be Jalen Ramsey. Kid is hungry and just waiting to tear up receivers and make game changing plays. View Quote I'm hopeful Leonard Fournette explodes this year. |

Dalvin Cook was a true freshman. He was the best running back in the country last year. And he was directly responsible for no less than 3-4 wins last year. Fournette Is good. But perhaps overrated. |

It's not about the total yards
It's about how many games they directly changed or won Without Cook FSU would not be undefeated last year. He changed the outcome of games. Singlehandedly. (The irony.....is he is basically responsible for the loss to Oregon in the playoff....so without him we don't get there....with him we lose. . Crazy) Still a great back. |

View Quote I think Tevin Coleman had about half of Indiana's yards. Every team they played could just load the box and he still broke 2,000 yards. Indiana wasn't very good but he was their offense. On a good team with a legit passing threat he may have looked heisman-worthy. |

I'm hoping he lives up to the hype this go around. I don't remember too many LSU games but vs. Notre Dame he had at least 2 huge plays that made him look up to the hype. There are just so many guys out there are underrated coming out of high school, so in the pros you've got guys from St. Mary's School for Blind Girls who become superstars. Darqueze Dennard IIRC had only a Michigan State offer for P5 and they just stumbled across him when they went to the backwoods of Georgia to watch a receiver prospect. Even with his skills if he went to a Div 2 school or FCS he may have never been drafted, especially if his coaching staff couldn't develop him properly. Also really good recruiters can spot that guy that was a 3 or 4 star recruit but realize that the recruiting services undervalued them and they are potentially better than 5 star athletes. |

That's the responsibility of your offensive line. Texas has always had great running backs and a good offensive line to block for them. Your offensive line was terrible last year but that was attributed to youth and inexperience. You should be better off there this year which in turn will help Greys and the QB's production. |
|
Speedy was very impressive last year. He almost broke numerous kick returns and made some impressive receptions. What's scary is that people are saying freshman Christian Kirk may be better. Think about having Reynolds, RSJ, Speedy and Kirk all lined up at once. Makes me all warm and fuzzy feeling. If Allen dosent set an SEC passing record in the next 2 years something is terribly wrong. |

But I really don't think Bosa will be the key player in every game. Give the rest of your D credit. They are bigger than Joey Bosa and the bama game proved that. |

Looks like Dalvin Cook's attorney filed a speedy trial motion.
You don't do something like that unless you are incredibly stupid or incredibly confident. I'm guessing the later. Bet they still won't drop the charges even though whoever attempts to try that case for the SAO is going to look like a fool. |
|
Looks like it just got more interesting. Someone came forward after the 9-1-1 tape was released and is basically calling BS on the whole story. Apparently it was the girl who threw a punch from I'm reading on one site.
Whole thing sounds like BS. He very well may start by Sept 5th. I guess some good can come of all this. I'd like to see FSU institute a permanent "no bars/clubs" rule. It's 2-4 years of your life. |

So what scuttle-butt is coming out of OSU for the QB battle? Does either one have it locked up? I'd think the team would prefer Jones, no? Do you go with who brought you to the dance? Or who brought you home from the dance?
Hmmmmm What I'm hearing from the FSU sites is Golson doesn't have the job anywhere near locked up and that Maguire has been looking really good. One interesting thing to note however is that apparently they are practicing more triple option plays.....which would be more of a Golson strong suit than Sean Maguire And a legal update....they set Dalvin Cook's speedy trial date request for Aug 24th....so we'll have him for the season!!! Who-hoo. I'll take a bet that the "trial" lasts about 2-3 hours at MOST. Deliberations will take about 30 minutes tops. That's if the SAO doesn't drop the charges first. The more I read about the case the more I realize what a complete crock of shit it is. |

I thought there was a decent chance charges would be dropped today but looks like we'll have to wait until the end of the month. |

He's just not allowed to practice with the team (which is Jimbo's call). I would seriously think that he's been working out and doing reps of certain drills and going over the play book. If he was smart.
We will most likely crush the first two games so he may get some 3/4 quarter reps. |

Talk about an embarrassment of riches, and throw in Miller just in case things really go south at that spot injury-wise. Does seem crazy to me that Jones wouldn't be the starter though after the championship. I'll be interested to see how it plays out.

What are you hearing, the way commie ESPN reports it Cook punched a girl in the face a few times? With my "sources" .....no, he had walked away before any of it became physical. The girl most likely got shoved in the face or slapped...not punched....and it was most likely the brother of one of the players...not a player. I'd be surprised if all the so-called witnesses (supposedly they are going to show that one person claiming to be a witness wasn't even there) actually showed up to trial...or even the victim for that matter. and the State Attorney is going to themselves no favor by putting the responding officers up on the stand. They've already pretty much laid out in their reports how the "victim" and "witnesses" appeared to be very drunk, couldn't stand, were difficult to understand, and changed the story at least once. This is more about Willy Meggs trying to show he's "tough on crime" and doesn't tolerate FSU athletes. I honestly don't believe Cook touched that girl. That is from my experience as a LEO, not a FSU biased fan. The way he asked for speedy trial and refused IMMEDIATELY any type of deal even when there where people who say they saw him. Those two things usually indicate someone who at a minimum believes in his own heart he is innocent. A lawyer worth his salt who goes along with it is either not a good lawyer, or also believes his client is not guilty. |
