Lamar Jackson. Wow. He torched A&M's ass repeatedly.
That was a great game. I enjoyed it. I was kind of pulling for A&M but I was afraid they would struggle on offense. I wasn't really expecting a Freshman to pull a Vince Young on their defense though, but I knew they hadn't really been tested. Texas and A&M need to start playing again. I can't keep wanting for them to win all the time.

Do y'all know who the top scoring defense is in D-I? It's Wisconsin. Granted, the opposition hasn't been the top, but this defense is as solid as they come. If the offense matched it, we would... whatever. If, if, if. Anyway, this is a good game.

Nice to see A&M's offense show up for the last quarter..... Still cannot tell what our offensive system is, seems like it changes damn near every quarter. They really need to install an under the center package like Louisville did before the bowl game. Those short yardage run plays are retarded slow....might be because we have a midget playing center though
I am really worried about next year's oline. |

I'm worried about a lot of crap, and I don't see Sumlin/Spav solving any of our problems. We have to have better play calling and schemes. Johnny did so much for us by providing a run game and a scrambling pass threat. He kept the D on the heels and allowed other facets of the O to work. We've got to either get significantly better on the O-line or bring in some bruiser FB and TE. I think we should do both. We have to go under center. The shotgun has its place, but you don't have to run every play from it. There are teams who successfully utilize TE and FB in shotgun/spread formations. I was watching the LSU/ttu game and it is crazy the head of steam Fournette has by the time he hits the LOS. |
