Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: But you know what dook DOES have? A new head coach…
Y'all are getting one HELL of a coach. You'll be improved. No clue at how good he will be as a HC, but as a DC he was the best. Only downfall for you guys is that this is his stepping stone job. He may be there for 3y or 5y. But he won't be there long. He's long told the Aggie faithful that his dream is to be HC in a B1G power school. We knew we only had limited time with him and I wish him well as he exits. “Y’all” LOL nice. |

Man I just realized there will be no football on tonight when I get home.

Quoted: So why are people butt hurt he left? If this is true, people should be glad he's gone. Sounds like double speak. Try to find something to get the fan base pissed off and riled up about so they think it's good he decided to leave. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Game was our center. He is essentially saying that Riley acted more like a boss than a coach. He’s not the first former Sooner to say that Riley never developed the type of relationships you see head coaches develop and that it alienated parts of the team. Game Ikard said that he has talked to the Head Coach more in one day, than he did with his head coach the five years he was at OU (a lot of it as starting center) So why are people butt hurt he left? If this is true, people should be glad he's gone. Sounds like double speak. Try to find something to get the fan base pissed off and riled up about so they think it's good he decided to leave. Bingo. And who as someone else pointed out, who gives a shit how he’s doing it if you’re going to the playoffs all the time and winning Conference Championships? |

Quoted: I hate to lose Elko, but is just part of having nice things I guess. Everybody else wants them. Looking at potential candidates, the two most obvious top guys with connections to Jimbo seem to be Muschamp and Pruitt. Muschamp and Jimbo were coordinators together under Saban. Pruitt was a coordinator for Jimbo and played for Gene Stallings (at Bama, but Stallings is an Aggie). Where is Robinson rumored to be going? View Quote Muschamp is (was?) a hell of a DC. |

Quoted: Muschamp took on special teams coach's role when Scotty Cochran (SP?) went on medical leave. He has been on the recruiting trail as well. Georgia is lucky to have him on staff. Monk View Quote So Lanning is going to Oregon….will be interesting to see what UGA does at DC. Diaz is going to Penn St. Man there are some big DC openings at places willing to pay whatever. |

The OU compliance office is far stricter than anyone in the $EC. They're going to need to ease up when OU gets to the SEC if they want to be competitive in that conference. Of all the coaching hires, Lanning to Oklahoma seems like the biggest risk to me.

If true, there has to be some massive NCAA sanctions coming like Pete Carrol The NCAA hasn’t dealt any serious punishment in quite awhile. The intent of the rule is player safety, and the objective is to give a ball carrier an option to end the play by sliding feet first and to avoid contact,” the ruling reads, in part. “To allow the ball carrier to fake a slide would compromise the defense that is being instructed to let up when the ball carrier slides feet first. A fake slide will not be considered reviewable under Rule 12-3-3 – Dead Ball and Loose Ball.” Cool, so they still have no definition of what "begins a slide" actually is? When the players ass hits the ground? When he's at a 45 degree angle? If he drags a foot? What about a stutter step? "The refs will know it when they see it! Non-reviewable." |
