Besides I still got the T-shirt ![]() ![]() |

Quoted: Texas has always recruited well, the improvement for being in the SEC isn't going to change much. Results on the field matter. If they can't compete in the Big X(II), they aren't going to find success in the SEC. Texas used to aspire for conference championships. In the future they will aspire to 8 or 9 win seasons, and they're a few years away of approaching that. Being in the SEC isn't going to fix anything that's wrong with that program. The weird thing is that the money isn't that great a factor. Texas was already the richest program in the game. Again, moving to SEC isn't going to improve things all that much for Texas. I really don't see what they gain for a couple extra losses every year. Except this was the only way they could get games with A&M again. Pathetic losers miss the Aggies so much they followed them like sad little puppy dogs. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Oklahoma and Texas didn’t move there for money alone. The powers to be at Texas wouldn’t join the SEC just to be a whipping boy for a few dollars. They joined because they wanted to be a part of the best conference in college football and because they also believe they can compete. The money is just a byproduct.
