This is sad.
I didn't watch any OK St games this year. Are they really this bad?

Talking head said their defense gives up on average over 400 yards a game?

Surprised they even made it to the big 12 champ game with a stat like that.

Dammit.

Cam Ward entered the transfer portal.  That makes seven Cougs who are looking for greener pastures elsewhere.

It's going to take a decade for the Cougs to rebuild.

Holy shit. A Texas DB was ejected for a “blind side block” where the defender 100% saw him coming and there was incidental head to head contact with no launch, no leading with the crown, no intent, not even violent contact.

Fucking awful awful call.

Ugh

Ollie Gordon, OkSt stud RB down with apparent leg injury. Don’t know severity.

Sounds like it’s a minor injury, but he isn’t back in yet.

Texas forces a punt.

They were trying to run clock last drive, not sure if they’ll stay in that mode or just go score. FWIW, OkSt gives up 170 yds per game rushing, so I suspect Sark wanted to break them running it.

I assume you’re a Texas fan…that was pretty typical targeting call.

“Blindside” doesn’t mean the person didn’t LITERALLY see him. It means the hit came from a side while not engaged prior. Helmet clearly hit first, not facemask, straight up on its “forehead” area.

Not really a question.

You can do that on screens. I know this because the last two seasons featured plays where Bijan Robinson was tackled (literally thrown to the gound) while the ball was in the air and since it’s behind LOS, it’s supposedly ok.

Looks like there's not going to be any "March Madness" kinda wildness going on with these Conference Championship games. Everybody is showing up and playing like they're focused on their game they're projected to win.

Though if one team is in danger of looking ahead, Michigan is it.

I don’t see Michigan getting caught looking ahead.

I believe there is a chance that FSU loses to Louisville since their 3rd stringer will likely be the starter at QB.

But that would help Texas, so it probably won’t happen.

You can expect the same argument to be made by Texas if UGA and FSU win tonight.

Who here thinks FSU is one of the top 4 teams and better than Texas? No one.

How do you justify a 13-0 ACC champ left out of the top 4?

Someone on that committee may be getting death threats tomorrow no matter what.

Maybe, if FSU wins and UGA loses (only games that have a chance as I’m
writing off Iowa) it will be:

1) Mich
2) Wash
3) FSU
4)Texas

Very possible outcome.

Possible, but if FSU wins and UGA loses big, I expect Bama to get in over Texas. The argument would be “this is the best win in college football this year and their loss isn’t nearly as bad as Texas’ loss”.

It will be interesting to see if they take quality win (Texas over Bama) with worse loss (Texas to OU)
Or
Quality loss (Bama to Texas) with with quality win (Bama over UGA)

This would have been a great year for just a couple more spots in the playoff.
