I honestly don't know what some of you think you have to gain personally by tearing this guy down when he's done a good job of that all on his own. It just reads like piling on at this point, and smacks of more than a little bit of jealousy over seeing some other dude living the life (though he's not living it any longer thanks to having some of his private life made public without his consent).

Watching some of y'all clutch your pearls is like watching a bunch of gossipy old hens in a sewing circle.

You don’t have to win a bunch of major matches to be an instructor working for someone who has won them. Nobody signs up for training at Taran tactical because his assistants are so good. She can certainly shoot well enough to impress your average Hollywood type. Not to mention the fact that having attractive young ladies around Is part of his business model. If she had won a bunch of major matches she would likely have her own school.

50% isn’t that pretty low? USPSA scoring was always a little hard for me to understand and I never cared enough to look into it.

At a big match like Nationals if you looked at the pistol divisions where would someone with 50% minutes f the winners score(or second place) usually fall?

It's confusing, but essentially the person with the highest points per second score (hit factor) gets the total points for the stage. Say 11 targets or 22 alphas is 110 points. Everyone else gets a percentage of points based on their comparative hit factor.

Say Taran gets 110 points in 10 seconds, that's an 11 hit factor and if that's the highest, he gets 110 points for the stage (even if he shot 109 or less if he has the highest hit factor, he gets them all in his division).

That means with a PCC, practically no reloads, no recoil, optic, but minor scoring.

50% of points would be approx. a 15 second run at 80 points (11 alphas, 7 charlies, and 4 deltas) that's a 5.333 hit factor. Which is 48.48% of that 11 hit factor. Make it 14.54 seconds and she gets a 5.5, and 5.5/11 x100 is 50%.

So 70% of the speed and 72% of the points if that was what happened.
