I'm pretty sure the reason you can't blaze it up is because of federal law not state.

Went with a cheapo Lee single stage press to start out and see if I would kill myself or kaboom first. I plan on upgrading this year. Dillon is too high for my blood, I may look into a Hornady AP.

Here you have to have a permit to burn from the fire dept. Its a pain in the ass, but it keeps the retards in check.

Is that year round for the permit? Heck I don't even use a barrel, just grab the hose and find a spot away from the deck . One spot is straight dirt but I burned on the grass last time. It should grow nice and lush in a while now.

Yes. I would have gone with a cheaper option like a lee. The single stage outshines the progressive for precision rifle and self defense pistol/rifle.

However, if you're more of a high volume shooter. Just get a progressive and be done with it. If you want to split the difference, get a manual progressive instead of an auto indexing.

I have the same, lee single stage.  I can not crank out the rounds like the dillion progressive, but when I do things in stages I put out a few hundred rounds a couple times a week.  Its much better than paying retail prices for plinking ammo.  Plus having the sigle stage has been nice for the sole reason of figuring out some good recipes for each caliber I have been reloading.  My next desision will be turret or progressive, i am going to wait another year.  In the mean time im saving up for a nice brass prep center.  They are spendy too.

Ran a 5k today. I hate 5k for race distance, would rather do a half or full marathon.

Time was 21:03, not bad but slower than I should have been. Finished 5th overall. And only 2nd in my age group. 4 effen finishers in front of me and one of 'em had to be in the 45-49 age group. Damnit!

Went with a cheapo Lee single stage press to start out and see if I would kill myself or kaboom first. I plan on upgrading this year. Dillon is too high for my blood, I may look into a Hornady AP.

Yea thanks, they work great.  I was spending a couple of bucks on the plastic shoe boxes each and then I saw a post in the reloading section about them, one guy had tons of them, literally like 50 of them.  We go through one a week or so, and the wife just puts the emptys on my bench.  I like that they have that cool handle molded into it and the lids are all interchangeable too.   Slap some painters tape on there for what in it, round caliber, clean, primed. and GTG.  Small things like that save enough money for more primers and other little items.  Every little savings to put toward components make a difference.

Here is where im at today.

My ammo cans are full of the finished product now too.

Before I started reloading the Idea of having 1000 rounds per caliber would have been a joke.  Now not a big deal at all.  If we could just reload 22LR we would be set.

It just takes time to build up the stuff.  I am getting there.'

Any of y'all spring experts? Is there anyway you could trim this?

Can you unscrew that top part beside the metal loop?  Both sides of the rod under spring look formed unfortunatly.  Maybe if you cut one end and the did a JB weld type addition.  It might not hold up to constant use.  It looks like a tough modification there.

My neighbor has a 550(650?) he said I could use anytime but i'm not familiar with progressive presses enough to actually do it.

I know the first time I actually take him up on it I'll want one that day.

No, but I think I can cut the pit and soil it so it at the end so it stays put. My worry is the spring getting all fucky.
