THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or counter-clockwise?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most people see the dancer turning counter-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

Wow. It was counterclockwise at first. Then I scrolled down to see her jump and it went clockwise. Now I can't get it to go back.

With the first illusion, the dot appears to turn green because the pink leaves a green mark on your field of vision, and when that pink dot disappears you can see the green aftereffect on your retina.

After staring for a while move your eyes, and you'll see a ring of green dots.

Those "moving" ones hurt my eyes.

Alright smarty pants, why do the dots disappear after looking at the top one and focusing on the cross?

They don't.  Well, not for me anyway, and the spinning naked lady, she only moves clockwise.  I can't understand how anyone could possibly see it move the other.

The spinning lady is a bit of a trick, there is really no 'left brain' vs 'right brain' in that image. It's just how your brain makes the assumption of motion without perspective (caused by your experiences).

If you want to see it spin the opposite way of what you see naturally check these out. The lines add the perspective that is missing and making your brain make the assumption of direction without enough info

They both keep changing direction on me.

My hemisphers are fighting.

And now I'm dizzy

Holy shit, I tried and tried and could only get her to go clockwise. Then I just started thinking about something else randomly and sure as shit she started spinning the other direction.

I've tried for 2 minutes.  I can't get it to spin CCW.

It helps me to do it when I look at the shadow of her feet and imagine the shadow going counterclockwise.  When I do that and then look back up at her body she is spinning counterclockwise.

And she goes from having her left leg extended to having her right leg extended.

I see clockwise rotation.

Me too, and it's very difficult for me to make myself see it counter-clockwise. I'm a super-dominant right-brain dude in an overwhelmingly left-brain profession. No wonder I feel retarded most of the time.

Here's one that you AK guys probably already know. Take five or six 30 rd AK mags and lay them on the floor next to each other like this (((((( , except sideways (ends pointing left to right. Now stand up and look down on them. It looks like the mag at the bottom is longest, and they all get progressively shorter to the upper end. Sorry, no pics. Maybe somebody in this thread with a bunch of AK mags and a camera can help us out.

BTW, it works with 30 rd AR mags too, just not as well due to not having as much curvature.

Which soldier is taller?

None. They're all the same size.

Even though this image creates a floating effect, none of its elements is moving. The only thing that changes are the colors!
You can check it by placing your cursor over the image. It does not move at all!

If you can't see this one, move back from your monitor.

This uses visual vibrations to create a cool effect. Try moving your head close to, and then away from the screen. The fuzzy dots appear to move.

This simple line drawing is titled, "Mother, Father, and daughter" (Fisher, 1968) because it contains the faces of all three people in the title. How many faces can you find?
