Tacos.
But that's not going to happen.

The good thing is there is no one in the family I don't enjoy spending time with. Her side or mine.

Good food. Your best.

Turkey and stuffing. Pretty much everything else is optional, but without turkey and stuffing, it's not Thanksgiving.

I've been to so many non-traditional Thanksgiving dinners that I no longer feel this way.  I've had pizza, brisket, fish sticks, chicken fajitas, finger foods, steaks, burgers, cornish hens, chicken, and probably some things I've forgotten.  And yes, I've had turkey and ham, too.

Turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, green bean casserole, candied yams, and dinner rolls.

Cranberry whatever is optional.

Pecan pie can die in a fire.

Recipe please!

not much of a recipe to be honest...
pick out the peppers you want, cut the tops off, and cut out the rind inside
pick out the best tasting cheese you can find - i've used many different cheeses over the years - my favorite and most often used is a boars head 3-pepper colby jack.
then wrap each in a slice of bacon - the thick bacon can work but regular cut is my go to. small peppers get one slice, big ones get two.

then, skewer, and get in a smoker with indirect heat - usually takes about an hour and a half for 18

OP made an excellent point. I'd say that after turkey, giblet dressing is the next most important ingredient.

Correct.  While the Ocean Spray brand jell type is fine, boiling your own whole berries is better.

No cans of Cream of Mushroom soup should be used on Thanksgiving.

Other requirements:

Home made pies.  Pumpkin and Apple required. Pecan optional.
Yams or Sweet Potatoes
Mashed Potatoes
Gravy
A green vegetable such as beans or brussells
Turkey or Ham

May you stub your toe and suffer hay fever.  Canned might work better mechanically but good proper cranberry sauce is worth the mess.

I use the canned to stuff the turkey (which is then smoked). I make fresh cranberries to serve to my guests.
