This is correct.

You could consider an Olde English Bulldogge, though. They’re a little farther down that scale than a bulldog, but not to the level of a Corso or a Boerboel.

We've seriously considered them.  We love our English Bulldog, but he's probably on the far end of breed standards, TBH.  He's a little taller and more leggy and has a longer nose than most English.  He's been really healthy his whole life, and since he's probably closer to an Olde English we're thinking we may go that way.

He's still a giant doofus who farts and snores nonstop.  Which is important.
