Quoted: Painted the SL-K before sundown. Humidity might mess with it, but oh well. Weathering happens, and it's gonna get beat up anyways The 6.8 really is getting just about done. Unfortunately, my Father’s Day plans have been disrupted by the weather.
My parents were supposed to be coming down for the day, but it’s been storming like crazy with no end in sight. Not particularly safe for them to make the drive, so they’re staying home. Better to get to see them later than read their obituaries in the paper, though. |

Attached File Attached File I figure the red circle on the first pic is where I'll put a dual button. Or two singles. But most likely a double button. The center of the two reticles just about perfectly line up for rotating. And I've tested having the light on the right, it won't obstruct an optic @ 45°. So closer now than we've ever been, and not much more to go. |

Once the light switches sides, the sling socket will go all the way out.
And then it needs a can, and that's it. Any other work will be routine maintenance. Maybe swap the Romeo eventually for a T-2. |

I wanted to go to Menards today and mow the lawn. My wife asked if I should be doing that on Father's day. I told her I'm pretty sure both of those are required on Father's day.

I love the big puppers, but my wife doesn't want anything bigger than what we have now (and would really prefer smaller), so that she could manage them if they got hurt/sick and needed transport when I'm not around. My little sister and her husband came down yesterday and we did lunch and dinner and hanging out all afternoon with my dad (mom's out of town).
He got a bunch of cheeses, olives, and crackers, and then shrimp cocktail for lunch, and then herbed chicken, herbed salmon, potatoes, and maple mustard asparagus for dinner. |
