PDF warning, it's the charging documents
Who am I talking about? This guy, some of you call him "youtube Fred Durst": He was indicted today for the horrific crime of conspiring with another man, Kris Ervin, to advertise and sell "auto key cards", which the ATF is claiming are machine guns. What is an auto key card? It's a credit card sized piece of sheet metal with a drawing of a lightning link on it: No, it isn't "pop out" style like a model airplane. Yes, it requires additional machining to finish, which would be illegal without an SOT. The ATF has indicted two men based on one of them selling DRAWINGS of a "machine gun", and the other advertising them. This is a massive violation of not just the 2A, but the 1A as well. I'm a fan of the CRS Firearms channel, I know the guy Matt does have a particular style that some may find annoying, but his videos are pretty informative and he's pretty based. This is absolutely ridiculous and cannot be allowed to stand. Edit: added video with explanation on his channel from DLD After Dark, John Crump, and Matt's wife. Drawings of a machine gun part. Yes I know the ATF categorizes machine gun parts like shoestrings as machine guns. I'm just pointing out how even more absurd it is. Anybody with a piece of metal, a printed piece of paper, and a Dremel is a potential criminal.

View Quote Arguably I'm a criminal because I have the photo of the keycard saved on my computer, since drawings of machine guns are illegal now. Absolutely fucking ridiculous. |

ATF really seems to have ramped up the 'fuck the citizenry' this past year

Most of the federal government is out of control. The ATF's actions are just another example.

It's not even the ATF at this point. It's the congress AND DOJ they answer to not doing shit.

The process is the punishment. They don't have to actually prove any of the charges to utterly ruin someone.
The only way I see to fight this is with organized legal defense like antifa uses. Lawyers and bail funds set up waiting to defend whoever gets pulled into the system. |

Plot twist, OP gets indicted for posting the pic.
Interesting read. They are trying to get him for “structuring” as well, because he withdrew $9000 at a time. And, they are trying to steal his property and vehicles of course. Hope there are good people on the jury. |

Quoted: The ATF is out of control. View Quote Apparently they think the presence of metal somehow negates the 1st amendment. Haven't they also taken the position that the mere etching or drawing of the sear pin hole on an AR receiver is verbotten also? It is interesting though that while most of the charges are based on the dubious allegation the cards are MGs, they threw a structuring charge in there too just to be sure they got him on something. |

Key cards, drawings, rubber bands shoelaces and bump stocks are NOT firearms...no matter what the BATFE says.
This is not an infringement on 2A rights, if you think it is then you agree with the BATFE that the above items are firearms. What it is, is an agency that is completely out of control, a gestapo of sorts that can pretty much do anything without oversight. They're definitely after us, that's for sure. |

The auto key card shit wont stick.
Where they will get him is being in possession and transferring machine guns. 10 counts of that or whatever. |

So the documents state that one of the guys Matt Hoover owned a store called Coloma Resale. Coloma Resale was an FFL and held a SOT license.
He made a video "Is this An ATF Trap And How Does It Work" which described how to order an auto key card and described how to cut the lighting link from the auto key card and install it into an AR-15 style rifle, thus converting the AR-15 style rifle into a machine gun. Ok, there are numerous videos where he is talking about how to make illegal machine guns, untraceable guns, and his auto key cards. All while he is holding an SOT license. If you haven't read the charging documents, they have been following this guy for awhile. The fact he held an SOT is likely the catalyst to this shit. I don't agree with the "cards are machine guns" but if you hold an FFL+SOT you don't do shit like this. |

All I see is a piece of sheet metal with a drawing that could be done in MS Paint by a 6 year old
Next merely drawing the same outline on a piece of paper gets me thrown in Jail |
|
But remember folks. There are no actions that Biden can take though executive orders (i'm sorry orders is not the word, actions its actions) that will in any way make lawful gun ownership a problem.

View Quote Just as any woman with a vagina is a potential prostitute, any man with a working penis is a potential rapist, and anyone with a working automobile is a potential speeder. I just can't figure out why the courts haven't yet come to the same conclusion. I could ALMOST understand BATFE's position if the metal cards were like the pop out model airplane parts where someone just had to pop the parts out of the card, but that clearly isn't the case. |

Quoted: I didn't realize you lose your first amendment rights when you become an FFL/SOT. View Quote You must not have been living in the same US I have for the past few years. In all seriousness, when you pay the government for a SOT license, you don't get to manufacture and sell items called "auto key cards", with video instructions on how to convert the item you just sold into an illegal NFA item. Edit: I don't agree with it, but the charge of Conspiracy is correct. They are conspiring to break the law... |

The ATF is out for blood.
They are over reaching specifically to get a reaction, the politicians and media will latch on and use it to push more laws. |

"Auto key card"? Looks like one of those no-touch door opener tools to me.
