hold up, he was blind the entire time?
|
|
No, he had a bionic eye and knew the anatomy of a vulture, could smell a bald cat 50 yards away and knew the flight path of a 9mm. He was the shits in those times!

Which was the biggest tragedy because he couldn't see Mila. C'mon...ARFCOM hates MILA. |

Bible? Check.
Blind man? Check. Blind leading the blind? Yep! Bring it! |

The movie has a very strong faith overtone. Everything that happened to him, all of his shots, everything that missed him, was because of "god". But we all know that couldn't happen in real life, god isn't real. |

Fuck. Someone learn to use the search feature. How in the fuck does a Book of Eli thread get started once or twice a month with someone posting he was fucking blind??
|
|
the fogged up lenses on the gas mask when he shoots the cat is the first tip off.
|
|
Regardless of whether he could see or not, I'm still surprised that movie got made.
And I'm glad it did. Great flick. |

I don't think we have ever had a thread on this.... said no one ever. |

Obviously blind, or he would have been on Mila like the fist of an angry retard with his drumset caught in a screen door.

Would make a great inspiration for the next Fallout game.

yep; that's why it took him 30 years to stumble across America from new jersey to san francisco

I thought it was decent, and somehow the ending wasn't ruined before I saw it.

hold up, he was blind the entire time? NO, HE WAS NOT BLIND! I don't understand how people arrive at this conclusion. If he was blind how did he: A) shoot the hairless cat with his bow at the beginning? B) feed cat to the mouse? C)see the low power reading on his IPOD? D)not walk off the damaged overpass? E)see the water container in the the female bandit's shopping cart that he picked up to check? F) shoot multiple bad guys in the street in all sorts of locations at all kinds of ranges with a handgun? These are just the things that come to mind and I haven't watched the movie for probably a year. Just because he wore dark glasses to protect his eyes and he could read brail does not mean he was blind. |
|
I've seen this movie 2 or 3 times and I'm watching it RIGHT now. I'm just not picking up on the fact he was blind. I just thought he knew brail.

holy shit that is funny |

He WENT blind at the end because his mission was accomplished. |

Just because he wore dark glasses to protect his eyes and he could read brail does not mean he was blind. Again, its a movie about FAITH in god. God led his way. Not his eyes. He wandered for 30 FREAKING YEARS....He didn't see the lower power setting on his IPOD, it stopped producing music. He smelled the mouse, notice how he didn't move his hand to the mouse, the mouse moved to his hand. The scene when he first meets Kunis's mom, she just stands there...he doesn't notice that she is blind. She has to say something before he can react. Why dictate the bible if he could write it down. He was shot, but his arms weren't cut off. Again, the movie is about FAITH in god. Even though we all know GOD isn't real. |
