Well, it does have "more thrusts per squeeze."

The Connecticut Governor, while whining about the need to re-instate the federal AWB, made a point of noting that the shooter was believed to have shot a round to breach the security door. Only those horrible high-powered assault weapons can do such amazing feats, he told us.

No shit. In just the last 15 minutes on CNBC I have learned of high speed ammunition clips, bullets designed to kill people but not animals and features of the '94 ban that inlcuded banning pistol attachments.

My match service rifle is built on a Bushy lower and upper.

I will be heading to the EE, and seeing who will be offering their stacks of inferior OBR's and SCAR 17's in exchange for a supervised weekend trip with my "most powerful weapon in America"

The weak shouldered may not apply, despite the 14 pound weight of the rifle, as the most powerful weapon, forged in the depths of hell, by craftsmen of another era, it requires a strong man, with a pure heart to wield it's awesome power. It can do all this without a flash hider, or a bayonet lug, and even with it's single shot follower installed. So, dash to the EE, if you want to buy your way into a range trip with my "space shuttle fucker upper" 77 grains of nuclear tipped fury, only a mountain will do as a backstop. (we might need a new mountain if we shoot more then once) Are you man enough?

I'll take all your crappy Ars and $5000 for my Bushmaster carbine. Early 90s model, less than 400 rounds thru it. Heck, I'll even add 20 rounds of ammo for another $375.

There have been all kinds of tasty nuggets today. Some from 'friendlies' and some from the usual suspects.

The one you posted, of course. Chick on CNN compared this to 9/11. The numerous calls to ban automatic weapons. etc etc etc. The amount of misinformation (and rhetoric) out there is simply incredible.

Im either surrounded by incredibly stupid people or Im surrounded by cunning individuals that know exactly what they are doing. I think its the latter.

I knew immediately when it happened on Fri it was going to be bad. I didn't know it was going to be this bad. Im amazed I can still be caught off guard anymore...but it happened nonetheless.

So far, the best I saw was when they had some guy ranting about how the only purpose for these guns was to kill people, all the while the footage in the background was of 3 State Police guys carrying their ARs at low ready - apparently just waiting to start a second killing spree.

They're obsessed with the gun. It's all about the weapons used.

When the next killer uses a Remington 870 or climbs the belltower with a 30-06, or hell a regular handgun like Cho, they'll want to ban those too.
