I'd never get one, but good on them for actually carrying over a lot of the original design cues into a modern platform.

View Quote It looks like what happens when a mentally broken person gets too much plastic surgery and ends up looking like a grotesque version of an attractive person. ETA: I had an SS 70 Chevelle in highschool and this one really hurts. |

Looks like a Chevelle after a a rough marriage where it drank and ate its sorrows away, putting on a bunch of lbs but still trying to look cool and in shape.

It would be more retro if GM didn't keep the Camaro's rear quarter/decklid arch on it. The quarters and decklid were straight and basically flat on the Chevelle's which made them distinctive from the Camaro.
Using the Camaro and slapping on some different skin, and calling it a Chevelle is like taking the Silverado and putting a full-length body molding down the side and calling it a C/10, as if it's a different model in the lineup. |

That is even FUGLIER than the original. That took a lot of work to make a car that hideous.

I bought a new 1969 SS 396 (325 Hp) for $3,100 and loved it.
But do the new ones retain the feature of holes rusting through the rear window frame and leaking rainwater into the trunk? |

GM has been a design disaster for the last decade. The trend continues.

Convertibles do not make it move for me.
Just buy a motorcycle if you dont want a roof. |

That's poor "journalism" and a Camero with a body kit. They did a Pontiac also.

Isn't the Camaro being discontinued? What do they think they are going to accomplish introducing another muscle car?

|
Quoted: for that kinda money can't you just remake an original car that possesses much nicer looking sheetmetal, a much more comfortable and roomy interior and give it all the suspension/ride/handling and performance of a modern Camaro? View Quote 200k. That is what it cost to go to someone who knows what they are doing. You are looking for retired nascar guys. |

Um........nah. Hey, but at least they included Cowl Induction (or is it??).
