Of the people That I know that voted for this, not a single one will acknowledge that there are any economic issues happening.
Gas prices up 200%? No problem Grocery, property tax and inflation up 30%? You’re one of them trump people aren’t you? Direct quote from one last weekend… All these “gods guns and trump” people are so fucking stupid, that’s the problem with the country” These are otherwise normal intelligent people. I couldn't believe it. I’ve concluded a good part of the county is so far gone, when they are freezing/heat stroking/ great depression 2.0 hits….it’s going to be cause of those damn trump people. |

You’re using a form of rational actor theory. You aren’t dealing with rational actors.
Democrat policies don’t fail because they don’t work. It’s because people didn’t let them work. Either they were too constrained, or not given enough time, or enough money, or the wrong people. If it were a swim meet, they wouldn’t blame themselves for drowning because they didn’t learn to swim. They’ll blame the water for being wet and not containing enough oxygen. Things will continue as they have. People trying to control things that are beyond their control. Political winds blowing back and forth. One party wanting to spend a lot of money, the other a shit ton. Each passing laws every time they get together that kill liberty, sometimes with slow erosion, sometime in chunks; rarely ever rescinded. Even if a reset (which is necessary) we’re done, the resulting compromise would be worse than where we are now. |
