I've seen them. They hold liberal views and also believe in gun rights. I know, they are not allowed to do that.

Honestly, take a few minutes to read some threads and you can see the good. There are a few there with increasingly Conservative bents as time goes on and they see shit like Seattle trying to tax guns out of existence for example. The thread on the google memo was also interesting, as on a forum literally populated by leftists, a number of them were saying the guy was basically right. |

The firearms shooting and collecting hobby are rehab for recovering liberals.

Such a confused forum. Reminds me of when DU had a gun sub forum.

I believe so. They still have a gun control forum. View Quote EDIT. I found it. It's under Justice and Public Safety. -Gun Control and RKBA |

I'm not really surprised. It was a lightning rod for anti-gunners to come start a big fight. DU makes it plain that the place is about pro-democrat ideas, it's not a place to discuss opposing ideas. View Quote |

??? Everytime I visited that subforum, they were only talking about guns. The only time I ever saw drama there was from their own. View Quote |

They hold liberal views and also believe in gun rights. If someone who may traditionally hold views to the political left of the spectrum which is normally associated with gun bans handgun control, actually decides to respect the rights of people to have guns, then they hold a truly liberal position. |

my dad is a super conservative guy and he hates guns and the NRA... meanwhile, I'm a lifetime member and love shooting.
Is there a gun club for him? |

As long as the RKBA version they hold includes a right to self defense, I'm ok. But how would (for instance) voting for Hillary or Bernie have squared with being a Democrat in favor of gun rights? I realize they can be found on the local level and might allow them the illusion of being personal freedom advocates where the opposition is a conservative anti-abortion type. On the national scene that's a rare bird.

lol, there's a thread over there bitching about the Seattle "gun violence" tax.

Socialists have never opposed the guns that they used to murder their own countrymen. The 20th century can show you over 100 million examples of that belief put in practice.

Fuck that. Views are one thing. Those views have actions associated with them. When the 94 AWB passed, it was not a "view." It was criminalizing a right. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

There should be steps in place to keep bullshit in check man. I dont like the way the system works with congressional power shifts. We have it now, but then they will have it later and so on. It's stupid. Thats how fucked up shit gets passed through. Should all be bipartisan 50/50 in my opinion. |
