You're the guy that thinks Ripple is going to 500 bucks and is evidently (as it would have to do at that point) going to consume 70% of the money on the planet.

BTW, btc didn't start off "buying shady shit on the dark web", it started with a very different purpose.  Ripple is a bank settlement network, not a cryptocurrency -- there's literally nothing in common between it and btc or any other cryptocurrency.

Not exactly. Your lack of critical thinking (which you showed with the pic and link you posted) means I would be wasting my time explaining, so I won't.

Anyway, best of luck in the BTC/altcoin/shitcoin game, .bro

What's "not exactly"?

I posted links with discussions and a picture.  I didn't write either.

Ok, coinsmarkets deposit went through.  Took about an extra 45 minutes beyond what the blockchain explorer said.

Now, what shitcoin to gamble on?  EMB?  I have a whole .179 LTC to use.

Your so full of shit it's not even funny.

You either don't know what you're talking about or just lying, either way.

and we're talking about mass adoption here, most people/banks won't be using a coin like BTC that started off buying shady shit on the "dark web".

My understanding is that XRP is really just a proof of concept.  The actual settlement networks proposed by Ripple will not use XRP.

JoeJeep had a good explanation a few pages back.

Quoted:

Let's address this.

1) Somebody a few pages back mentioned Ripple will dump "new" XRP on to the market as if it was conjured out of thin air. That's false. All the XRP that will exist already exists...and a small portion goes away with every transaction. XRP is deflationary.
2) The released XRP isn't just going to get dumped on to Binance on the first of every month. It is sold to Ripple's clients, partners, and institutional investors.
3) If they were going to "dump" XRP on to the market they wouldn't have set up the escrow that limits them to a set amount each month.
4) Dumping XRP (and thus the price) makes zero sense. XRP is Ripple's biggest asset. They have a responsibility to their shareholders and clients to maintain or improve the value of XRP.
5) There is no set amount they will absolutely sell each month. They are LIMITED TO A SET AMOUNT they can sell, but they don't have to sell anything. In that case there's a mechanism that recycles the released XRP BACK IN TO ESCROW.

Here's how the escrow works: https://ripple.com/insights/ripple-escrows-55-billion-xrp-for-supply-predictability/

I did. If you put it in your own wallet it will stake (like earning interest on your coins). If left on cryptopia, the exchange is keeping the interest.

FACT - Holding XRP (and XLM) through 2018 will be a smart play as more normie money comes into the crypto sphere.

-Decent price for someone who has $1k+ to "invest"
-It's recognizable and not too scary for newbs
-Good marketing and media presence
-Fast transactions and low fees
-Supported by Ledger Nano S
-On all the exchanges

Until it runs out of steam and the next new shiny thing gets pumped.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I was convinced to put money in it earlier (why get hung up on the specifics....just recognize the direction of the stampede and make money).

The best part about investing in XRP is knowing nothing about it
