Good evening gentlemen.
In this thread, we discuss and show off our sandwiches. Sandwiches are a time honored tradition of men, and as such they are to be appreciated. You may certainly troll with your bologna and cheese, but you will be hated on. It is not a contest for the rich. You won't automatically get points for an expensive sandwich. The true winners here are men that are masters at their craft. Those that understand the beauty of the sandwich and aim for eternal glory. There are many classics you may attempt or post, like the Ruben or the French Dip. You can also post conglomerates of Italian meats ending in vowels. You can post a nice steak and cheese, meatball or even a traditional deli sandwich like chicken salad. We can go hard mode and do mufalettas or shooter sandwiches, sandwiches which take time and effort. One thing we will not have in this thread, is dissent that sandwiches aren't awesome. Godspeed boys. |

The British are experts at sandwiches, they will put anything between two slices of bread.
Two of the simplest and best are bacon sarnies (smoked back bacon, loin with a little belly, not US belly bacon) and chip butties (chip in that context is french fries with ketchup, but potato chips as a sandwich filler is also a thing. If you're snooty you cut off the crusts, cut diagonally into 4 equal sections and fill the sandwich with crap like egg and cress or cucumber. Literally anything can go in a sandwich. |

I find it's normally confined to turkey and stuff but there's nothing wrong with tossing Havarti on a red meat. |

Hey, you still have some on your plate!! |

No pics, too lazy. And it's all gone. Lunch was a finely shaved leftover flank steak with colby and seeded mustard, on top of my woman's homemade sourdough bread. Just enough oven time to get the cheese melty.
