My experience or observations - like others have noted I think boredom and stress are contributors to wasted time and attention. I also think telling yourself to stop doing something whatever it is - is a weak or tenuous approach. Much better to replace a negative habit with a positive habit. That way your focus is on doing X instead of not doing Y.

NFN in the books boys!!! Definitely noticed some slight sleep disruption but nothing too crazy since I work third shift and switch to a "normal person" schedule on the weekends to spend more time with the wife so my sleep schedule is fucked. I would definitely kill to much time on the orange YouTube before going to bed.

The fact the wife and I work different shifts has made creating time for each other somewhat difficult but thankfully she is WFH so it's not too terrible.

Hope everyone else had a good time with their wives or abstaining!

Definitely noticed an increase in focus, but realized a lot of this was just a routine or habit I'd fallen into out of boredom. Feels like my relationship with my wife has become closer.

I "survived" NFN/NNN. I found that just finding things to do that I'd been putting off and staying busy made it a lot easier than I would have expected and the month moved pretty swiftly.

Thanks OP.
I'm probably pushing 45 days. Wife is going through some medical/mental health issues. And unintentionally end up being an asshole, I've been more patient, intentional and In some ways this has helped me to be more present with her. Gonna keep it going, want to improve my marriage.

I didn't make it. However, I feel like it was a good experience and did make it through the beginning of the month. Picked up a cold about a week before Thanksgiving and spent a bunch of time in bed, bored, with nothing to do. No excuses though. Did find that intimacy with my wife was better, and more enjoyable. Still have work to do, but proved a few things to myself and identified areas to work on and improve.

I used my DSLR camera on a tripod so I could get the correct angle and lighting. iPhones are for teenagers sending newds. You gotta step into the big league.

In the "unofficial" thread I mentioned how I thought it'd be hilarious if the OP trolled a bunch of dudes on arfcom into not pulling their horns for the promise of prizes. I stand by that remark. I'd still think it was hilarious (despite what the truth may be).

Alrighty everyone, the moment everyone was waiting for, but first:

Apologies on my part for the delay. I wanted to do a big flashy shooty way of selecting the winners involving machine guns and other fun shit, but life got in the way. Hell of a work week with multiple days of no/minimal sleep, then got kicked in the fucking teeth with Strep Throat. Finally had to say fuck it and break out the random number generator.

Thanks to everyone for participating. This is my first attempt to really delve into something like this, and it's something I'm wanting to do more often. Too much random bullshittery, not enough guns/shooting here sometimes. Self Improvement + Guns = Goal. I've learned a lot on this first one, and will use it to better steer future attempts. Already trying to plan something cool for Jan 1.

Unfortunately, life got in the way, so I failed on the Commemorative PMAG front. But that will 100% be a thing for the next NNN.

In the mean time, if anyone has a better suggestion for the methodology for handling "entries" and selecting a winner, I would absolutely love to hear it. The way I did it this go around made it a monumental pain in the ass to manage for just one person.
