Quoted: Very angry right now. The little girl in the ICU..... they thought she could leave the ICU today, it didn't work well and 6 hours later both lungs collapsed, she had to be sedated and put on a ventilator back in the ICU..... the mother has been there 24/7 since Monday, the father has been taking care of their other 3 (pre-teen) kids, he leaves Saturday for a 6 week vanity course at Harvard and isn't cancelling the trip even though the kid is in the hospital until Monday at the earliest (if somehow her condition miraculously improves). Neither has family here and he has arranged for a friend to help out until Tuesday at the latest...... I thought he was a nice guy but who puts a vanity business class ahead of his children when one of his kids is clinging to life???? View Quote I'm a workaholic, but even I wouldn't think being ANYWHERE other than with my family in that situation. That's fucked up. |

I was supposed to be home today.

Pump seals weren't a problem. At least, we think not. Mainline valve is being a little bitch. Gate seats had to be sent off-site to get machined. Got them back and installed (not me, but the guys doing the real work) and then the gate wouldn't fall into place. They cut us loose around 8 last night. They were still fighting with the valve. Technically, even though the station is decommissioned and isolated, they can't leave anything open ended if no one is there. They had to button it up somehow. Hopefully, they got everything assembled and torqued.

Really hope we can recommission this morning before it gets too fucking hot.
Shouldn't take too long if we can just get started. N2 sweep, press up, leak check, open the bypass for Y-Grade intro and burn for 30 minutes or so once we light off. Rig the fuck down. GTFO |

Quoted: Quoted: The 870 made before 1990 is a great gun. After Remington went to bed with Evil-Mart their quality started downhill. It became so bad that we received several at the shop with chambers that were way out of specification. Remington was ruined. Hopefully, they are doing better now but for a long time their products were not worth having save the Core-Lokt bullet. Somehow they did not ruin it. https://i.imgur.com/YknltEr.gif |

Got woken up last night at 3:30, mom needed to go to the emergency room.
My sister ended up taking her in. Mom thought it was diverticulitis which she's had before, turns out its kidney stones. |

So my new fermentor can do pressurized fermentation, i knew that when i bought it.
What i didnt know is that by doing pressurized fermentation, you can ferment at higher temps and faster without creating off flavors and with lagers, you dont have to condition them as long. Lagers go from 2-3 weeks fermentation and 1-2 months of conditioning to 1 to 1.5 weeks ferment and 1 week conditioning. Might have to try this. |
