You are a weak little human and no match for a fallen angel, if you create a vulnerability they can exploit (which is what sorcery involves, going into a trance or creating symbols meant to attract demons to the physical world). Someone at my church has a family member who works in the local mental health institute and has seen them have superhuman strength, speak random languages, do strange sexually perverted things, etc. One interesting story he has was a 10 year old kid who had been taken out of the house for getting violent with kitchen knives, she had been writing things on her sheets with smeared feces blaspheming the Holy Spirit, the parents weren't a believer before that but now have since thrown away Ouija boards pokemons, etc out of their house..

Myself and a couple of friends played with one when I was home on leave back in 94 or 95. We asked it a bunch of off the wall questions. Like stuff about our futures. I asked if I would get married and it just spelled out "soon". I asked who and it spelled out "Bambi". This pissed off the girl I was seeing at the time. I don't even remember her name. However, I got married a in 1997 to a girl named Bambi. My friend Roxanne asked when she would get married. It spelled out "never". We all thought bullshit because her and my other friend were engaged. She died later that year the victim of a drunk driver. It didn't really dawn on me until my wedding day when I got married to Bambi that I though of Roxanne and how I wished I could have invited her because we were great friends growing up. As soon as I thought of that, I remembered that night with the Ouija board. They are most definitely not something to mess with. Believe or don't believe. But I believe there are things happening just out of our sense of perception that are not a good idea to get involved with. I think that all it takes is to invite contact and a soul that has nepharious intent will connent and latch on. The soul could be someone who was an evil person or one that is upset they died too soon or looking to punish someone that still has life. There are some really dark evil forces and things we have no business whatsoever interacting with. I've seen true evil in this world and I wholly believe that the evil we can see is influenced by the dark evil we cannot sense. |

The usual thread, with the usual cast of characters saying all the usual things (both condescending and credulous) that they've all said a dozen times before in a dozen similar threads--so I will say the one useful thing which I always try to say for the benefit of first-time lurkers: IF you are a believing Christian, you need to know that casually experimenting with the occult (even out of boredom, or in perfect/misguided unbelief), ANY conscious decision to engage in the occult arts of Divination or Necromancy is a grievous sin and an affront to God, and you should make a confession of that sin, ask God to forgive you, and formally renounce the practice. That palm reader that your wife brought you to? Yeah--that's a sin. Formally repent and atone for that--and renounce the practice. As for the braying skeptics who ridicule the notion of religion and the existence "some sky God", and who boastfully proclaim that they have used a Ouija board and "nothing happened"--are you sure? How (exactly) would you know that "nothing happened"? Because you aren't aware of it? What if the death of your soul, the ironclad Unbelief with which you became so pridefully indwelt--what if your overarching sense that the notion that a God existing is ludicrous--found its exact headwater in that exact moment of spiritual error? |

Now we’re getting somewhere.....Pokémon too? When I was a kid I played at war. I mimicked things I had seen in films and on television. That form of "play" prepared me in some ways for actual war. In the 90's an entire generation grew up "playing" at sorcery and casting spells, and it came at them in games and cartoons. |
